New Jersey court OKs tea party group's bid to oust U.S. Senator Robert Menendez

Although the counter says 966 more days until the election hopefully we can rid ourselves of this guy sooner than that.

It looks like now we all need to sign the petition and then bring it back to the court and demand to be heard since Mr. Menendez refuses to hear us or respond to us.

Hearing Scheduled!

Good Morning Folks!

Once again it's snowing in New Jersey.

I wanted to let everyone know that an important hearing is tomorrow in Trenton. On the 5th floor of the Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex at 25 Market Street at 10 AM the Appellate Division will be hearing the Tea Party argument that Mr. Menendez is eligible for recall:

Folks, it’s not just who have had just about enough of Mr. Menendez’s absent leadership style and self serving attitude. You can call him, you can email him, you can write him letters but don’t expect a response. If you are a big donor though at least he calls you back:

“Chuck – wow – he would call all the time, three, four times a week when he needed something, but I don’t ever hear from Menendez unless I initiate the contact,” said a Washington-based donor who has bundled tens of thousands of dollars in contributions to the committee.

“You just don’t have the same level of energy from Bob, he just doesn’t push you like Chuck would,” the source added.

“And that makes it a lot easier to say no.”

Well well. Even the liberal newspaper The Philadelphia Inquirer has an opinion on the ethical challenges faced by Mr. Menendez.

It's astonishing that he doesn't even pretend to put pressure on government agencies for "the people". He just shrugs and goes on. And why shouldn't he? This is New Jersey where Republicans don't get elected to statewide offices.

A bad opinion piece in The Inquirer sure qualifies as Liberal Outrage.

Menendez Peddles Influence

Hello All! Welcome to the new blog.

It looks like it didn’t take long for Mr. Menendez to produce some fodder for the blog. It was reported recently that Mr. Menendez used his influence as a Senator to try and help out some “Fat Cat” bankers! It seems that Mr. Menendez wrote a letter to the Federal Reserve to try and save First BankAmericano from going under because the bank served the “under-banked Hispanic community”. Does that mean that Hispanic people are not allowed to bank where everyone else banks? Wow – that is BIG news! Why isn’t there a hue and cry about that? The other reason Mr. Menendez states in his letter is that this bank failure would “send yet another negative message to consumers and investors and further impact our fragile economy.” Yes maybe it would impact the fragile economy. Maybe it would impact the fragile economy of his “Fat Cat” friends, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the bank! According the Wall Street Journal the Chairman, Joseph Ginarte, donated $30,000 to Mr. Menendez’s political-action committee and the Vice Chairman, Raymond Lesniak, held a fund raiser for Mr. Menendez featuring Bill Clinton.
